Dear prayer partners,
Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
We often do not understand what God is doing at any given moment and if we don’t trust Him fully our inability to understand will make our paths bumpy and rough. As we acknowledge God to be God and know that we are not, we can take comfort in Him regardless of the circumstances “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
We have news and a prayer request to share that is outside of our understanding but we know God has been, is, and will be glorified through it. This past Thursday morning Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer. This news came to us as a shock but it did not catch our Lord off guard. After a meeting with the oncologist yesterday it has been determined that she will begin chemotherapy next Friday (3.25.11). The treatments will last into the middle of August or late September (depending on which type of medicine she is to receive) and then surgery options will be explored dependent on the success of the chemo.
We appreciate your prayers throughout these coming days. As with every day before this we could not be here serving the Lord in Bennington without your faithful prayer support. Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever and we rest in His arms and unchanging grace.
