Surgery Update August 2, 2011

Filed under: Uncategorized — awilmeth @ 11:18 PM

Surgery went really well this morning!  The surgeon was able to remove all that he wanted to, including the tumor and surrounding area and the lymph nodes (which look good).  We will have to wait for the pathology report to know if there are good margins, etc.  I did have some pain and nausea afterward, but am feeling really good now!  Praise the Lord, I haven’t taken any pain meds for about 5 hours now and still feel good. 🙂

The surgeon will be around in the morning to check on me, and then I will hopefully be able to go home again!  Thank you all for your prayers, visits, emails, texts, and calls.  You are such an encouragement to me, and I know that God is answering all your prayers!  God is good, all the time!

“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Phil. 4:13

    My dearest Amy,

How gracious God is! Thank you for this post updating us after the surgery. “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.” Psalm 55:22

    You continue in my prayers!

    Love in Christ,

Got Eric’s updates yesterday, and praising the Lord with you and your family. Praying that the pathology report comes back good, and that got everything they needed to. We continue to pray for you and your family during this time… and are just so amazed again and again at the Lord’s working and faithfulness in your lives. (((hugs))) Praying for a quick healing and recovery… but *do* take it easy as necessary.
